On Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 2 pm, Archbishop Jerome Listecki will preside at a special Mass in honor of the St. Robert Parish Centennial. A reception will follow. Invitations have been sent out; R.S.V.P.s will be accepted after October 7. Contact Lisa Lesjak by email or send in your reply card.

Throughout St. Robert Parish’s 100-year history, we have been blessed with talented people who share those talents with others.
Our yearlong Centennial Celebration continued with an extraordinary concert featuring parishioner and school parent Frank Almond, who is the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster.
The Centennial Celebration Concert was held in the church on September 9th at 1:00pm. The performance featured Mr. Almond on violin. Jeannie Yu, acclaimed pianist, accompanied. The concert was free and open to the public.
In addition to holding the MSO Concertmaster Chair, he has been Concertmaster of the Rotterdam Philharmonic (Netherlands) and Guest Concertmaster of the London Philharmonic. He performs solo and chamber music throughout the United States and internationally. He is a member of the Chamber group An die Music in New York City and founded and directs the Frankly Music Chamber Series in Milwaukee. Mr. Almond has recorded his work with An Die Music and received Grammy nominations in 2002 and 2004 for the “Timeless Tales” series. Mr. Almond holds two degrees from the Julliard School. He is currently on the faculty of Northwestern University. Mr. Almond plays on a violin by Antonio Stradivari from 1715.

To commemorate this momentous year,
consider purchasing a suncatcher replica of the beautiful rose window in St. Robert Church. This gorgeous piece of art and history is beautiful as an ornament or as a suncatcher year round. They are available now for $15 in the Parish Office.
Thank you to Milwaukee historian John Gurda who shared "The East Side Story" with our hundreds of guests on Sunday. We learned a lot about St. Robert's part of town. What an informative way to kick-off our series of centennial events planned for 2012. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
