PREPARATION FOR THE SACRAMENT
Remote Preparation
Becuse parents are their children's primary teachers of the Faith, the example of parents is vital in the preparation of a child for every sacrament, including the sacrament of Reconciliation. Additional catechesis (faith formation) is provided by Parish Religious Education sessions and St. Robert School. Immediate preparation for the sacrament, however, will take place through a parent-student orientation session and home study.
Immediate Preparation
...consists of:
• an orientation session for both parents and children and
• parent-student home study (calendar forthcoming)
CELEBRATION OF THE SACRAMENT
...will take place in the fall of 2010 in a communal celebration of the sacrament at St. Robert Church. Family members are also invited to participate in this celebration of the sacrament.
Reconciliation is also offered at the following times and dates:
• every Saturday, 9:00-10:00 am (individual reconciliation)
• Monday, February 22, 2010, 7:00 pm, at St. Monica Parish (North Shore Advent Communal Reconciliation Service with individual confession)
• Tuesday, March 23, 2010, 7:00 pm, at St. Robert (North Shore Lenten Communal Reconciliation Service with individual confession)
