Suggested Music for Funerals at St. Robert
Funeral Planning Sheet (Music and Readings)
We believe that no one should grieve alone. Bereavement Ministry provides support to those who grieve the loss of a friend or family member. To this end, Bereavement Ministers are involved in peer to peer ministry and help organize memorial events (such as the All Souls' Mass and the Memorial Christmas Tree). Members of the Bereavement Ministry receive training and support. For more information about this ministry, please contact Mary Lynne Collins at 332-1845.
Join our Parish community in remembering those who have died. St. Robert's annual Bereavement Mass will be Saturday, November 1, 2008, at the 4:30 pm Mass. Those who have lossed a loved one this year will be invited to receive a candle in remembrance of the friend or family member. All who wish to remember someone who has died are invited. For more information please click here.
The Grief Education Monthly Series. These monthly sessions consist of a presentation on grief education, and a time for questions and answers, presented by Patrick Dean, a professional grief counselor. Held every first Tuesday from 11:00am until 12:30pm at St. Therese Parish, 9525 W. Bluemound Rd., Milwaukee, the sessions are open to all and are free of charge. For further information please visit Catholic Cemeteries or The Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
The members of the Prayer Network lift up intercessory prayers daily for those who have phoned in serious prayer needs. Members receive the requests once a week unless the need is more time sensitive. Prayer Network members may be compared to the four men who carried the paralytic to Jesus (Mark 2:1-12). We pray anonymously for others' petitions. One mass per month is prayed for the needs addressed by this Prayer Network. Click here to submit a prayer request.
If you know of someone who is homebound or in a hospital or nursing home and would like to be anointed or have Communion brought to them, please contact the Parish Office at 414-332-1164. You don’t have to face any life issue alone. Catholic Charities has counselors available for individual and family needs.
