Girls' teams participate in the North Shore League and boys participate in the Metro Conference and neighboring leagues.
Many students participate in local soccer and swimming programs/leagues.

Congratulations Student Athletes The Annual Athletic Banquet celebrating the successes of all of the 5th, 6th 7th and 8th grade volleyball and basketball teams was held recently. The Athletic Association also recognized one male and one female student athlete by presenting them with the coveted Russ Janowiak award. This special award started in 1996, one year after St. Robert parent Russ Janowiak passed away from cancer. Russ was an active member of the St. Robert Athletic Association and coached the St. Robert baseball team for many years. Parents, friends, teachers, coaches, neighbors, relatives, etc., are all eligible to submit nominations. Recipients are selected by a committee appointed by the Athletic Association.
The standards considered in the selection process represent some of the values held and displayed by Russ Janowiak throughout his life:
• Dedicated participation in the St. Robert athletic program
• Sense of team spirit and sportsmanship
• Active participation in St. Robert school and/or parish activities
• Evidence of service and dedication to St. Robert School and/or parish community
• Evidence of service and dedication to others outside of the parish community
• Ability to face adversity and persevere with a positive attitude

Important: Important: Volleyball sign-up for the 2008 season is currently underway! Students entering the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades in fall of 2008 - from either the school or parish - are eligible to play volleyball for St. Robert in the fall of 2008. Two forms must be filled out for each student athlete.
#1 Please return the 2008 Parents and/or Legal Guardian’s Risk Acknowledgement and Consent to Participate form with a check for $75 to the school or parish office by Friday, June 13, 2008. Checks should be payable to St. Robert Athletic Association (SRAA). If you know your child is likely to play volleyball and basketball next year, please indicate that by circling both sports on this form and you’ll only need to fill it out once (of course we'll collect fees for basketball when that time comes).
#2 Please return the 2008 Elementary School Interscholastic Athletics Physical Examination form to the school or parish office prior to the beginning of the volleyball season. The Physical Examination form must be filled out by a physician. The form is good for two years unless your physician has indicated otherwise. The Physical Examination form must be up-to-date before practices begin in mid-August. It is likely that next year’s 5th and 7th grade athletes need to have this form filled out. It is also likely that next year’s 6th and 8th grade athletes do not. If you are unsure, please ask.

Open Gym: During fall and winter, the Home and School Association invites middle school students who attend the parish school to Open Gym on Saturday nights. A signed student contract must be turned in to participate.

Little People's Basketball: This fundamental program is unique to St. Robert and is for girls and boys in grades 1-4. Students are instructed in the rules and basics of basketball, with an emphasis on fun and participation. Boys and girls are instructed separately; one night a week during the winter months.
