Congratulations to these SRS Alumni
Lauren Hammer is the 2010 Valedictorian at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School and Nathan Bredeson is the 2010 Salutatorian at Dominican High School.

St. Robert Grads Earn National Merit Finalist Honors!
St. Robert graduates Lauren Hammer and Claire Aasen are two of Divine Savior/Holy Angels high school’s 12 National Merit Finalists for 2010!  Lauren and Claire were among the over 1.5 million students from 22,000 high schools who were entered in the competition.  They now become eligible for over $36 million in scholarship awards.  Congratulations to these two outstanding scholars and their families!

Congratulations to the students who represented all of us at the 2010 Dominican High School Academic Challenge.  St. Robert placed third in the large school category.  Individual awards are also noted.

Congratulations...
...Ellie Sellinger (SRS Class of 2006) was named one of this year's most outstanding high school athletes in swimming. She was recognized on the Preps Plus television show and in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for her commitment to team sports, academics and for making a difference in her school and the community. Ellie is a senior at Shorewood High School.
...Lauren Hammer (SRS Class of 2006) was one of 120 All-State Scholars of Wisconsin.  She was selected based on her overall grade point average and ACT or SAT college admission test scores.  Lauren is a senior at Divine Saviour Holy Angels High School.
...Maria Linn (SRS Class of 2006) was named a WIAA Scholar Athlete for her outstanding achievements in the classroom and on the basketball court.  Maria is a senior at Pius XI High School.
...8th graders Allison Mitchell and Danny Jarosz, who were each presented with the Russ Janowiak award at the athletic banquet.  There is no doubt that Mr. Janowiak would be proud of Allison and Danny as they truly exemplify the personal characteristics this award represents - dedication, teamwork, sportsmanship and positive, service-orientated attitude. 
...March/April Dominincan High School Renaissance Award winners: Charles Jurgens, SRS 2007, in Religious Studies, Michael Linn, SRS 2008, in Performing Arts, and Patrick Linn, SRS 2006 in Business/Computers.
...Maria Linn, SRS 2006, played on the Pius High School State Championship winning basketball team. She was pictured several times in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel sports section.
...Gabe Rosenwald, Class of '06, has been named a National Achievement Scholarship Semifinalist for being one of the nation's outstanding black American high school students.
...Maggie Aasen, Class of '07, competed at the regional Capital Science & Engineering Fair held Feb. 27, 2010 in Madison, Wis.  Aasen’s project titled The Effects of Dye Labeling on Cellular Function earned recognition from the Society for In Vitro Biology for a project exhibiting in vitro biology.

Lauren Hammer, Class of 2006, is the recipient of the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Excellence Scholarship.  Lauren is one of 100 students selected from across the state for this accolade.  Scholarships are awarded annually to 100 graduating seniors that have demonstrated academic potential, outstanding leadership, citizenship, community service, integrity and other special talents. 
...Emma Strode '09 was a member of the cast in DSHA’s fall production of “All Shook Up”. This musical comedy based on Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” tells the story of what happens when a guitar-playing rebel rides into a small Midwestern town, bringing in rock ‘n’ roll by way of Elvis classics! 
...Mary Linn, Class of 2005, who was the Salutatorian of the Dominican High School Class of 2009.
...to 7th grader Ian Featherstone.  Ian won honorable mention in an essay contest sponsored by the Shorewood Senior Resource Center about “My Best Older Friend.”  Ian will be attending a luncheon at the Center to honor the essay contest winners and their guests.  One of Ian’s special guests will his grandpa, the subject of his essay. 
...to 8th grader Foley Van Lieshout who won 1st Place in the Shorewood Library Poetry Contest.
...to Maria Linn, Class of 2006, who was inducted into the National Honor Society at Pius XI High School in 2009.
