...Maria Linn, SRS 2006, played on the Pius High School State Championship winning basketball team. She was pictured several times in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel sports section.
...Gabe Rosenwald, Class of '06, has been named a National Achievement Scholarship Semifinalist for being one of the nation's outstanding black American high school students.
...Maggie Aasen, Class of '07, competed at the regional Capital Science & Engineering Fair held Feb. 27, 2010 in Madison, Wis. Aasen’s project titled The Effects of Dye Labeling on Cellular Function earned recognition from the Society for In Vitro Biology for a project exhibiting in vitro biology.
...Lauren Hammer, Class of 2006, is the recipient of the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Excellence Scholarship. Lauren is one of 100 students selected from across the state for this accolade. Scholarships are awarded annually to 100 graduating seniors that have demonstrated academic potential, outstanding leadership, citizenship, community service, integrity and other special talents.
...Emma Strode '09 was a member of the cast in DSHA’s fall production of “All Shook Up”. This musical comedy based on Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” tells the story of what happens when a guitar-playing rebel rides into a small Midwestern town, bringing in rock ‘n’ roll by way of Elvis classics!
...Mary Linn, Class of 2005, who was the Salutatorian of the Dominican High School Class of 2009.
...to 7th grader Ian Featherstone. Ian won honorable mention in an essay contest sponsored by the Shorewood Senior Resource Center about “My Best Older Friend.” Ian will be attending a luncheon at the Center to honor the essay contest winners and their guests. One of Ian’s special guests will his grandpa, the subject of his essay.
...to 8th grader Foley Van Lieshout who won 1st Place in the Shorewood Library Poetry Contest.
...to Maria Linn, Class of 2006, who was inducted into the National Honor Society at Pius XI High School in 2009.
