CRS RICE BOWL – HELP TRANFORM THE WORLD THIS LENT

Join our faith community—and nearly 13,000 Catholic communities across the United States— in a transformative Lenten journey with CRS Rice Bowl. Pick up your family’s CRS Rice Bowl from church the weekend of February 18-19 or on Ash Wednesday. During the 40 days of Lent, we will reflect on the impact of global hunger and climate change on vulnerable communities around the word, and we will pray, fast and give alms to help our sisters and brothers in need. Download the calendar here. Visit crsricebowl.org to learn more.

2023 SPRING ELECTION ON APRIL 4

From the Wisconsin Catholic Conference, courtesy of the Archdiocese:

The 2023 Spring Election is coming up on Tuesday, April 4. As Catholics, we are called to form our consciences in light of Catholic teaching. As you discern how best to be a faithful citizen at the polls, consult the WCC Faithful Citizenship series and the WCC’s 2023 Public Policy Positions.

On the ballot will be candidates for the Wisconsin Supreme Court, local offices, and various state and local referenda. To see what is on your ballot, find your polling place, or register to vote, go to myvote.wi.gov.

Wisconsin’s Supreme Court justices are elected to serve a ten-year term on the bench. Wisconsin Public Television interviewed each of candidates, listed alphabetically below:

Daniel Kelly
Janet Protasiewicz

You can also watch the candidate debate here (March 21, 2023) or the candidate forum before the primary here (January 9, 2023).

PLEASE JOIN US FOR EUCHARISTIC ADORATION – SECOND SATURDAY OF THE MONTH

In conjunction with the Eucharistic Revival, St. Robert is establishing a monthly overnight adoration effort on Second Saturdays, beginning this month. Adoration will begin following 4:30pm Mass and will end before 8:30am Mass. We are looking for at least two adorers in each slot (ideally three) – please sign up here and spread the word. All can submit prayer intentions to be shared with adorers here. We hope you’ll join us in praying for the needs of our parish, our community, and our world by signing up to spend some time with the Lord each month.

THE PRAYER & WORSHIP COMMISSION NEEDS YOUR HELP

The St. Robert Prayer & Worship commission is looking for new members, and for parishioners willing to help out from time to time. If you would like to envision and plan communal prayer opportunities for the Parish, desire to plan and receive ongoing formation for the Mass, and can attend a monthly meeting, consider joining the Commission as a member. If you’d like to contribute time or materials on an occasional basis, to make a prayer event or special Mass possible, then consider joining an email distribution list to learn of opportunities. For more information, contact Caroline Klinker, carolinesklinker@gmail.com, to get involved.

JOIN THE ST. ROBERT PASTORAL COUNCIL

Our Pastoral Council is in need of 3-4 new members who are interested in supporting our Pastor, Fr. Enrique, as he leads our parish. The council meets once a month on the first Thursday.

If you are interested in hearing more, please contact Council Chair, Cory Wycklendt at cwycklendt@gmail.com
