DATES TO REMEMBER – HOLY DAY (AND HOLIDAY!) MASSES
Are you wondering about Mass times for Thanksgiving, Immaculate Conception, and Christmas? Check out this PDF.
FESTIVAL – “BEACON OF HOPE & LOVE”
Instead of our traditional St. Nick Party, this year we will be hosting an outdoor Fest focusing on St. Robert as a “Beacon of Hope and Love” to our community. Join us on December 4th as we illuminate our church and school with Christmas lights and decorations, and come together as a community of God’s love. From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the St. Robert Parking lot and grounds. Gather safely by the fire, warm up outside, and listen to Christmas music. All are welcome! (If you have a portable firepit that you’d be willing to let us borrow, please contact Caitlin Raether at firstname.lastname@example.org.)
And don’t forget the Film Festival! If you’d like, as an individual or family, create a short (up to 5-minute) video focused on the theme “Bacon of Hope and Love.” Incorporate your faith, Bible stories, or the saints. Videos will premiere at the outdoor festival, and later appear online. Please submit videos to Caitlin electronically (address above), or deliver them on a flash drive to the Parish Office, by December 1st.

ADVENT GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
This Advent season, please donate to one or more of the following ministries to help people in need in the Milwaukee area:
Volunteer to “Adopt a Family” for Christmas by Friday, November 27
What: St. Robert is partnering with a St. Vincent de Paul volunteer group at
St. Catherine Parish to bring Christmas cheer to families in need.
Where: St. Catherine Parish (51st and Center) is located in a high need area where SVDP volunteers make more than 600 visits to area families annually.
How: We receive wish lists reflecting family needs. St. Robert families team up together to partner on purchasing gifts. Each team has a St. Robert “lead” to help keep everyone coordinated.
Thanks to: Lorna Dilley, Holly Janzen, Michele Kuttenperoor and Erin Stilp for serving as leads on this effort!
When: If you’d like to volunteer, contact Rebecca Bortner
by Friday, November 27 at email@example.com.
With appropriate safety measures, your team will drop off gifts outside of the adopted families’ homes the week of December 16-23.
Bring a new, unwrapped gift from this list to the tree in church by Sunday, December 13th. After the December 13th Mass, help will be needed to box and carry the gifts to the Parish Office. Please let the Parish Office know if you can help with the boxing and moving
