High School Religious Education, Confirmation, and Youth Ministry for Teens

We invite and welcome any high school student to enhance and grow their Catholic faith. Religious education for all high school aged teens occurs in the context of preparation for Confirmation, usually beginning in 9th grade. Holy Family and St. Robert participate collectively in their high school formation.

CONFIRMATION PREPARATION

Confirmation celebrates the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on a Christian, to strengthen him or her for the Christian life.

Confirmation Preparation includes:

Academic Presentations
Small group discussions
Scripture study and prayer
Service opportunities
Confirmation Retreat

Confirmation Preparation
In the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Confirmation is typically celebrated during a student’s Junior Year. To help alleviate the demand placed on high schoolers during their Junior year, we have designed our program as a two-year model in which students can complete their formation before their Junior year, after attending two years of Confirmation Preparation at our parishes. All high school students who attend both public and Catholic high schools are required to enroll for both years in preparation for Confirmation. Students are welcome to join at any high school grade given that they will participate in two full years of formation.
