Community Prayer & Celebrations

Each year, St. Robert Parish offers a variety of opportunities for our community to come together in prayer and celebration around various feasts and liturgical seasons. These events are organized by our parish Prayer and Worship Committee.

Our parish community is blessed by these opportunities to gather in prayer and celebration. In order for us to continue to offer these opportunities, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Whether you are able bring dog treats for the Pet Blessing or coordinate the Epiphany Celebration, your help is needed and appreciated! Please join us for these upcoming opportunities:

Pet Blessing – Sunday, October 4, 1:00 pm
– An outdoor blessing for our pets in honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi on October 4. Join us on the front steps of the church! Click here for more information about this Catholic Tradition.

Bambinelli Sunday – Saturday, December 12, 2026 and Sunday, December 13, 2026 during all Masses.
– Bring your family’s nativity baby Jesus for a blessing! Click here to read more about this tradition, which originated in the papacy of Pope St. John Paul II.

Advent Lessons and Carols – Friday, December 18, 2026 at 7:00 pm
– A prayerful evening of Scripture, music, and reflections to help us prepare to celebrate the birth of Our Lord.

Epiphany Celebration – Saturday, January 9, 2027 at 6:00 pm
– Prayer service followed by a potluck dinner, crafts, and games. Hygiene items collected for Kinship Community Food Center.

Soup and Stations – Fridays during Lent, 6:00 pm
– Stations of the Cross followed by a simple soup dinner hosted by various parish groups.

Tenebrae – Good Friday, March 26, 8:00 pm
– An ancient candlelit Holy Week service structured with songs and readings.

Resurrection Party – immediately following the Easter Vigil on March 27th
– A party to celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord and the entrance of the newest members of our parish family into the Church. Sponsored by the Young Adult Ministry (YAM).

Corpus Christi Procession – Sunday, May 30, 4:00 pm
– A walking procession of prayer led by Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament from Holy Family to St. Robert. Members of the Knights of Columbus Immaculate Conception Council #4706 assist our procession. Click here for the route and details!

Solemnity of St. Robert of Newminster – Monday, June 7
– A celebration to honor the feast of our patron, Saint Robert of Newminster. Stay tuned for details on this year’s plans!
