STEWARDSHIP & HOSPITALITY
STEWARDSHIP & HOSPITALITY
“His master said to him, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master’s joy.’ “ – Matthew 25:21
God uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things. Please consider how you can use your skills and time to support the vision and mission of St. Robert. Contact Parish Life Coordinator Elizabeth Zimmer for more information on these or other opportunities.
Stewardship Ministries
Stewardship Committee
The Stewardship Committee oversees stewardship education in the parish, including parishioners’ annual pledge of their gifts of time, talent and treasure. This committee meets monthly at the parish office, and carries out an annual campaign each fall to help parishioners engage in various ministries and invest in the financial stewardship of the parish. If you are interested in joining our parish Stewardship Committee please reach out to chair, Mark Breen for more information. We could always use more help! For information on this year’s campaign please visit our Stewardship Page.
RaiseRight (formerly SCRIP)
Volunteers are needed to promote, sell Scrip gift cards after Masses and at other events, and fill orders for this program that raises funds through contributions to the parish from participating retailers. (If you would like to purchase Scrip, please see our Financial Stewardship & Fundraising page.)
Hospitality Ministries
Making Parishioners, both new and long-term, feel welcome and appreciated is central to the life of a Parish. At St. Robert, there are many ways this happens. Aside from liturgical ministries such as Usher/Greeter, opportunities to extend hospitality include…
Hospitality Committee
Volunteers provide food for hospitality after weekend masses (juice, bagels, donuts or cookies).
Pray & Play
Once a month during the academic year, the parish Pray & Play group gathers in our Community Room. This group is open to all children ages 0-4 and their caregivers. Coffee is provided for adults, and there are plenty of age appropriate toys, crafts, and snacks for the children. Each month we have a theme for our group prayer.
St. Nick Party
A team of volunteers from the parish and school work together to plan and host this free community celebration held in early December every year around the Feast of Saint Nicholas, featuring live music, crafts and a delicious pasta dinner for all ages.
St. Robert Parish Fair
St. Robert hosts a Parish Fair on the first full weekend in June, around the time of Saint Robert of Newminster’s feast day. Kick off summer with food, fun, games and live music!
All this fun requires many volunteers to work a variety of jobs including selling food, staffing game booths and the rummage sale, working on the grounds crew, setting up and cleaning up. Please visit our Fair page for details and sign up opportunities.
