Prayer Opportunities

EPHPHATHA

On the second Thursday of the month, (7:00pm – 8:30pm), Ephphatha offers the opportunity to receive a short teaching, encounter Jesus in Adoration, receive prayer with a trained Prayer Team, and experience community. All are welcome to join us. We pray that you will “Be Opened” to receive Christ’s tender love.

What is a “Prayer Team”?
At our monthly Ephphatha events, and other events around the Archdiocese, Prayer Teams are available to pray with and for you. This team of two people, a facilitator and an intercessor, are there to pray for you and to help you have a conversation with God in prayer. Our Ephphatha Prayer Teams participated in the JPII Healing Center’s I AM Prayer Ministry Training and have completed 30 hours of practice. They are trained to facilitate prayer through Dr. Bob Schuchts’ healing prayer process as taught in his book “Be Healed” and Healing the Whole Person. They strive to listen to the Holy Spirit, to attend to the needs, desires, and intentions that you bring to prayer, and to help you to rest in the love of the Holy Trinity.

The teachings of the JPII Healing Center are grounded in Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. As prayer teams, we will always strive to honor your confidentiality, personal space, and your human dignity.

Please consider coming to an upcoming Ephphatha event to learn more about this ministry, or contact Sylvia Smith or Fr. Enrique Hernandez with any questions or concerns.

Eucharistic Adoration

Join us for Eucharistic Adoration – precious time spent in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament – on the second weekend of every month, from immediately after the 4:30 p.m. Saturday Mass until immediately prior to the 8:30 a.m. Sunday Mass. Remember that the only time our Lord asked the Apostles for anything was the night He went into agony. Not for activity did he plead but for an hour of companionship.

Adoration occurs in the Church, and we strive to have two or more adorers every hour. If you are interested in being one of them, you can sign up here. If you would like to submit a prayer intention, please do so here. Questions? Contact Alice Wycklendt.

Praying the Rosary

St. Robert offers an opportunity to pray the Rosary with our community in the church at 8:00 a.m. Sunday (prior to the 8:30 Mass). Join us! Prayers are led from the Sanctuary, and no prior notice or reservation is necessary if you’d like to be present. Praying the Rosary is an excellent way to become more familiar with the lives of Jesus and Mary, and to reflect on their meaning.

Cor Jesu

Cor Jesu is a weekly intimate encounter with Christ. Through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Eucharistic Adoration and Mass, we are given the opportunity to be drawn deeper into the Heart of Jesus. It is a great space to meet peers who also desire to encounter Christ and seek fellowship. Cor Jesu provides a mid-week recharge in the midst of our chaotic lives.
