Bereavement Ministry

The purpose of the St. Robert Parish bereavement ministry is to provide support for family members of our parish community during the funeral and throughout the first year of bereavement. Members of the ministry attend visitation and funerals held at the church if available and desired by the family. The ministry establishes and maintains communication with the designated family contact person during the first year after the funeral. In addition, the Bereavement Ministry:
● Maintains a grief resource display in church
● Sponsor parish events during the year, including: All Souls Day Mass of remembrance with photo display of lost loved ones
● Christmas tree with memorial ornaments
● “A Valentine Remembered” Mass, followed by reception.
